We now have paper charts to get us to get us to the Windward Islands, via Cork for a party on the 17th July, Northern Spain, probably Lacorunna, Lisbon which Margaret wishes to see, Lagos where we hope to meet Murray Nelson, Villamora where we hope to meet Margaret's sister Alison and her daughter Sarah, and Gibraltar to pick up some cheap gin!!
We then hope to proceed to the Azores during September, followed by the Canaries in October. We hope to be able to see Chris Fox on Henrietta in either the Azores or the Canaries.
We will be leaving the Canaries around 24th November with Bruce Mickel to reach Trinidad and Tobago for Christmas. This means that we will be in the middle of the Atlantic on Susan's Birthday but will be very happy to receive emails from anybody. Iridium number to be announced.
If you fancy joining us or are in any of these areas during this time please be in touch. Remember please not to send attachments with any e-mails since this costs multi bucko to download.
This reminds me, I must learn spainish for our trip down the South American coast.
With Many thanks to all our friends during this rather frustrating time of preparation. To quote a famous bulkhead carving between the decision and the deed lie the Doldrums. This certainly has not been true for us, since the passage has been very stormy, atleast from me to some of our suppliers, but we hope to sail into calmer waters when we leave on the 11th of July.
Ben, our black lab, is happily esconced with John and Thelma who came sailing with us last Sunday and took Ben away for his holidays (extended). I am also grateful to Stewart, Brian, Gus and Paul for their purchase of my shares in the company and I wish them all the very best for the future.
Our next update will tell you all the wildlife we leave behind in the Clyde and possibly some thoughts on politics.
Susan, Dave and Adrian have managed to get us this far with the website for which many thanks. Susan is going to cover it with pink bows and dolphins in future so look out for some inovations.
