Hi Will,

This is a voice from the past, from the guy in that was in the room across the corridor from you in Queen Margaret Hall all those years ago, about 40 years! Well, time flies does it not. I was the one who liked to turn the place into a garage, remember? I have followed your migration across to Antigua and I can't fault it! The weather must be ideal for sailing over there. Good choice of house, I must say! After a bit of working in London I came back northwards to Newcastle (in 1975) and have worked for the gas board (British Gas)ever since, first of all in the R & D side and the last 12 years as technical support in pressure control. British Gas has been split up into many bits but we still do engineering services work for the networks. The business unit I work for has just been sold so I will no longer be contributing to the gas board pension scheme but I'm hoping to retire in 18 months. Sounds like you had a busy time in Glasgow running your own business. I trust you had some time for sailing! I stick to golf but a friend has recently purchased a 30 foot yacht and is learning to handle it off the NorthEast coast. Dead keen he is.

If I get across to Antigua sometime, I'll pop across to Jolly Harbour and say hello!

All the Best Don Reid
